National Croatia Rental Terms for travel between 01-Jan-2009 and 31-Dec-2012

Payment
An initial, non-refundable deposit will be secured at the time of booking confirmation. Accepted credit cards are Visa and MasterCard (transaction fee of 1.75% applies).

The balance will be secured directly by the supplier on arrival.

Additional Driver Policy
The additional driver’s fee is EUR 5.00 + tax per day with no maximum charge.

Age Requirements
The minimum rental age is 21 years for all cars except SDAR, SDMR and SVMR.  For these cars the minimum age is 24 years.
There is no maximum age limit and no young driver's charge.

Condition of Vehicle
Vehicle must be returned, normal wear & tear expected, in the same condition as when rented. If special cleaning is required a separate charge will be made directly to the customer

Cross Border Policy
Cars are permitted to be driven into: Austria, Slovenia, Italy, Hungary, Germany, Montenegro, Bosnia and Serbia. There is a possibility to request driving into the rest of the EU countries, special additional cross border charge will then be applied.  An additional charge of EUR 10.00 + tax per day applies. No additional documents are required. It is forbidden to drive into any other countries. The charge (cross border fee) is not applicable for driving trough Neum (corridor between Split and Dubrovnik), but it is applicable for the rest of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Mostar, Sarajevo...)

Licence Requirements
A full clean driving licence must have been held for a minimum of 2 years for all cars prior to the rental.
An international driving permit is not required.

One Way Rentals
Domestic one ways are permitted between all stations and drop charges apply - see separate one way grid for the charges. 
All cars are permitted for domestic one ways.
International one ways are not allowed.

Out of Hours Policy
After hours reservations are available at all locations on freesale with an additional charge of EUR 25.00 + tax.

Payment Policy
Acceptable methods of payment are: Visa, Amex, Diners, MasterCard, National Charge Card, National Vouchers. Cash is not accepted.  A deposit is blocked on a credit card when the rental starts, in amount of excess which depends on the car category plus value of a full tank of fuel. The rental charge (if it is paid locally) is charged at the pick up time and made separately from the deposit.

Refuelling Policy
Car must be returned with the same amount of fuel as time of pickup otherwise refuelling charges will apply.
Full details will be provided to the customer at time of pick up

Roadside Assistance
Full details will be provided to the customer at time of pick up.

Special Equipment
Infant Seat - CSI (0 - 12 months / 0 - 13 kg) - EUR 5.00 + tax per day, there is no maximum charge.  Replacement amount is EUR 100.00.
Baby Seat - CSB (1 - 3 years / 9 - 18 kg) - EUR 5.00 + tax per day, there is no maximum charge.  Replacement amount is EUR 100.00.
Toddler Seat - CST (4 - 7 years / 15 - 30 kg) - EUR 5.00 + tax per day, there is no maximum charge.  Replacement amount is EUR 100.00.
Booster Seat - BST (up to 12 years / under 135 cms) - EUR 5.00 + tax per day, there is no maximum charge.  Replacement amount is EUR 100.00.
Snow Tires - SNT - EUR 7.00 + tax per day, there is no maximum charge.  Replacement amount is EUR 400.00.
Navigation System - NVS - EUR 15.00 + tax per day, with a maximum charge of EUR 150.00 + tax per rental.  Replacement amount is EUR 300.00.
All equipment including Snow Tires are on freesale.
Equipment is available for all cars and locations.
Snow Tires are only available from 1st November to 31st March.
Baby Seats (CSB) are not loaded in the system, so if required please add this to the remarks on the reservation.
For all child seats the age of the child/ren is required at the time of rental.

Insurances & Waivers:
CDW – Collision Damage Waiver
CDW reduces the customer’s damage responsibility to the excess/deductible amount. If CDW is applied to the rental the customer is still responsible for the mandatory excess charge in case of damage. If CDW is declined the renter will be liable for the entire value of the damage/loss.

THW – Theft Waiver
THW reduces the client's financial responsibility for loss or theft to the vehicle to the sum of the deductible. If THW is applied to the rental, the customer is still responsible for the mandatory excess charge in case of theft or loss. If THW not applied to the rental, the customer is responsible for the entire value of the vehicle in case of theft or loss.

Third Party Liability

In such a case, if you book with us at a quoted rate that is incorrect, we will notify you of any price change and give you the option to proceed or cancel. Liability

When you pick up your vehicle, you will be required to sign a rental agreement with the supplier of the vehicle. Your rental and use of the vehicle will be governed by the terms of the rental agreement and any other documentation or information provided to you by the supplier at the time you pick up your vehicle. The rental agreement is between you and the supplier and we will not be liable to you or to any third party in relation to the terms of the supplier's rental agreement or any other documentation provided to you by the supplier at the time of pick up.

While we will make reasonable efforts to ensure we are representing only reputable suppliers, we make no warranty about the fitness or suitability of any third party (supplier) product or service and will not accept responsibility for the quality or fitness of any vehicle. We welcome feedback from our customers on their experience with our suppliers. We may, at our discretion, provide you with reasonable assistance in resolving any dispute you may have with a supplier.

Our total liability to you in relation to your use of this website and the information contained on this website will not exceed the dollar amount of the deposit we have received from you in relation to your booking/rental. Refunds will not be made for bookings cancelled due to inclement weather. Again, we strongly recommend that you take out travel insurance. Your use of this website is governed by the laws of New Zealand and the jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

Booking information
To make a booking you must complete our booking form which is easy to follow and secured with the latest encryption technology. Once we receive your form, we will, subject to availability, confirm your booking by emailing you a confirmation voucher and invoice.

If you are booking via phone, please make sure you have read the terms and conditions of the vehicle you wish to rent first. Our reservations consultant will ask you if you have read the terms and agree to them before proceeding. The onus is always on the renter to ensure they make themselves fully aware of the terms displayed on our website.

Information disclosure
In booking on this website you acknowledge that we disclose your information to your selected Supplier in order to provide the requested rental services.

Vehicle capacity and fitness to drive
Under no circumstances are you permitted to carry more passengers than the vehicle you rent is legally registered to carry, and if you do your insurance may be invalidated. The number of seatbelts (and passengers) is indicated next to each vehicle on this website. Luggage capacity where shown is an indication only and we will not be responsible should you be unable to fit your entire luggage into a vehicle. It is your responsibility to choose a journey that is within your capabilities. A vehicle supplier can refuse to rent a vehicle to any person who is in their opinion unfit to drive or does not meet eligibility requirements. In such circumstances we will have no further liability to you.

Refund Policy
We are committed to providing a quality service and aim for complete customer satisfaction. In the event of cancellation, any refunds or penalties are detailed in the terms and conditions of your selected vehicle that you are asked to read and accept at time of booking. In the event you are unsatisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of placing your booking or request and we will work to resolve any issues and determine if compensation is due. In the event you have completed your rental and are unhappy with your vehicle, we are happy to assist you in seeking compensation from the operator of the vehicle.
